Without Apparent Motive (1971) or original title Sans mobile apparent (1971) – A serial killer kill with the help of a sniper rifle more people in less than 48 hours, in the city of Nice in France. Commissioner Carella is working at this complicated case. Apparently there is no connection between the victims and it is obvious that the murderer has a total disrespect for life. What kind of man is a serial killer? Most offenders act to obtain a quick material gain, intended to satisfy basic needs but what causes the killer to kill? Serial killers can be educated people? Maybe yes, maybe no, the central idea is that Commissioner Carella has a difficult mission.
